A beautifully expressive natural sapphire selected for its unusual progression of color.
Across its elongated pear shape, the blue shifts from deep violet and inky tones into flashes of vivid electric blue and softer, more translucent blue. Rather than presenting as a single uniform color, the sapphire reveals pronounced natural zoning that changes noticeably as the stone moves through the light.
Two linear internal characteristics are visible within the stone, becoming part of its individual appearance rather than something we would try to disguise.
At 8.8 mm long, the sapphire has an elegant, elongated presence that appears larger face-up than its 0.94 carat weight might suggest. Its proportions and shifting color make it particularly compelling as the starting point for a one-of-a-kind bespoke design.
